New Horizons of Minnesota is proud to present the first Twin Cities SharePoint Camp, a one day FREE event for both SharePoint Administrators and Developers. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 14 from 8:30 – 5:00 at New Horizons of Minnesota in Edina. We see this being a bi-annual event, falling in May and November each year.
I am the Chairperson for this event and will be giving two presentations: one geared more toward the Administrator side of the equation:
MOSS 2007 Search Configuration: "You can't always get what you want... But if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you need"
In this action packed session you will gain understanding of both how the search process works and also how to go about the configuration of search. We will explore Search both inside of Central Administration (a bit), the Shared Service Provider (a good deal), and time allowing in the front end sites. We will see an overview of what is possible and probable with search and also what to watch out for in the search process, and some cool free add-ins for search.
and one geared more towards the Customization/Developer side of the equation:
Master Pages: "Through the Looking Glass..."
Through attending this session you will gain a good deal of knowledge to help you begin/continue your journey into MOSS Branding. We will begin with an overview of the Master Page Architecture, examine the possibilities available with CSS & Master Pages & Themes, discuss deployment scenarios and then touch on the issue of dealing with Application vs Site Master pages. This presentation presumes a basic familiarity with SharePoint and with ASP.Net.
We currently have all 24 speakers slots filled from multiple facets of SharePoint Administration to Developer and everything in between...
