Very Cool Free (For Now) must have add on for InfoPath 2007!

Hey all, Since migrating into the SharePoint-ed Forest more permanently I have had the opportunity to delve more deeply into InfoPath 2007…

One of the things that makes using InfoPath with browser-enabled forms so difficult is that seemingly simple functions (like sorting a repeating table, or copying a repeating tables embedded in a repeating section between instances of repeating sections (think of a running meeting minutes form that has a repeating section for each meeting that contains a list of attendees (and you want to automatically copy the prior meetings attendees from the last meeting into the next meeting (repeating section))) are so bleep-ing troublesome in InfoPath 2007.

This tool is supremely easy to install and fairly easy to use… and best of all it is still free (for a little while).

This tool says that it ONLY works in InfoPath forms (not browser enabled forms…) but if you are willing and able to administratively deploy the forms (i.e. sign them with a certificate and upload them to Central Administration in MOSS and deploy them from there to the site collections… they work like a charm (and solve some fairly difficult problems extremely quick.)

Here is the link to download this tool (do it in the next several weeks while it is still free (it will be on sale soon for $199)… and you to0 may be selected like I was to receive a free upgrade to 2.0 of their tool for just filling out a simple questionnaire! http://www.qdabra.com/en/download/Download_qRules.aspx

Along these lines if you ever have any burning InfoPath Questions, I cannot say enough Good things about the www.InfoPathDev.com site, a phenomenal resource for answering those pesky InfoPath questions that trouble you so…

Let me know what you think!
